Every semester, I take the professor's syllabus and make a plan to divide the assignment into parts that are easy to manage and take only a short amount of time to complete. Then, I carry out that plan by actually assigning those projects to myself. The great part about that system is it makes the tasks so small that, when you forget a day or two, you can easily catch up. This keeps me on track for the semester and allows me to balance several tasks at once, which inevitably leads to the missing of more days and the snowball of tasks that careens down the November slump to the end of the semester, leaving me the all the tasks incomplete a week before the assignment is due. I have it all figured out. You really should do it my way. At least that way, it feels like you've made an effort.

Abigail,

You and I not only sit next to each other in class, we also share this future. It's kind of creepy actually how much you seem to be reading my mind. With the exception of Sex and the City and the John Lennon quote from your mom, we go far past 'relating;' you may be my female clone . . . or maybe I'm your male clone. It has to be more than coincidence; I'll compute the t-score and our location on the normal curve and have it for you in class tomorrow night. I'm also careening towards a future where my goals are . . . to make goals. Anyway, I was recently made aware of how far my true goals in life are by our always postitive professor, Dr. Gade. He suggested I get involved in various campus media activities. I spoke to Prof. Odom, and I wanted to thank you for arranging that for me. Your post actually inspired me to write a blog post of my own. So, thanks again.

Jean Girard: [has Ricky in an arm lock] I will let you go, Ricky. But first, I want you to say..."I... love... crepes."

Cal Naughton, Jr.: Don't you say it, Ricky. These colors don't run.
Ricky Bobby: I'm not gonna say it.

Cal Naughton, Jr.: Good.

Ricky Bobby: Hey, look, Frenchy, I thought about it. So why don't you go ahead and break my arm?

Sorry! I couldn't resist =)

Those crepes sound delicious!

Ever read "A Hero of Our Time" by Mikhail Lermontov? I'm not well-versed with Russian literature, but my brother has been raving about it long enough that I'm tempted to pick it up.

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." It's somewhere in Matthew, and I like it! Big bear hug coming your way in about 8 hours!

Your mom must have been a child of the sixties era. Pretty sure John Lennon was responsible for "life is what happens while you're busy making other plans". He (and your mom) was so right.

abner, are you joking? if you're seriously equating The Beatles to the backstreet boys then...you know absolutely nothing about music. nothing.

on topic. it's almost impossible for me to choose just five songs from The Beatles but if I must it'd go something like this

1. A Day in the Life
2. I Am The Walrus
3. Hey Jude
4. Here, There, & Everywhere
5. Strawberry Fields Forever

That's really just ... the five that stood out most to me at this very moment. In my opinion the entire Beatles catalog deserves a close listen.
